THE TEN TRADITIONS OF THE COACHELLA VALLEY SOBER LIVING ALLIANCE

1. Our common welfare should come first; having reputable quality inspected homes depends upon CVSLA unity.
2. For our group purpose there is but one ultimate authority—a loving God as He may express Himself in our group conscience. Our leaders are but trusted servants; they do not govern.
3. The only requirement for CVSLA membership is to abide by the standards set on The Alliance’s application.
4. Each home should be autonomous except in matters affecting other homes or The Alliance as a whole.
5. The Alliance has but one primary purpose—is to promote the establishment, successful management, and growth of high-quality sober
living homes.
6. The Alliance ought never endorse, finance, or lend its name to any outside groups, businesses, facilities or enterprises—so to not divert us from our primary purpose.
7. The Alliance ought to be fully self-supporting, declining outside contributions.
8. The Alliance should remain forever nonprofessional, our members will operate in a service capacity ever reminding us to place principles before
personalities.
9. The Alliance ought never be organized; but may at times hold member only meetings to take a group conscience on certain issues that pertain to the group as a whole.
10. The Alliance has no opinion on outside issues; hence our name ought never be drawn into public controversy.

CVSLA provides a network of sober living homes that undergo regular inspections to ensure a safe and healthy environment for guests. The inspections include health inspections, safety inspections, and management inspections, which help maintain accountability among the guests and promote a sense of community and responsibility.
